A 30-day trial is enough to judge how an indicator looks and behaves on your own charts, and not enough to judge its long-run accuracy. Thirty days is roughly 21 daily bars of sample, far too few to measure a coverage rate, so the trial and the published evidence do different jobs.
A trial shows usability, display and closed-bar behavior: whether the range is readable on your instruments, whether closed bars stay fixed, and whether the live marker updates sensibly.
It cannot show a containment rate, because about 21 daily bars produce a count too small to separate ~71% from other values. The Behavioral Transform Model's rate is measured on 24,248 S&P 500 closes, 1927–2024, with a finite-sample benchmark of 67.46%.
A trial also may not include a market stress. Crisis onset, where containment fell to roughly 65%, is the kind of regime a calm 30 days will not display. Past behavior is not a guarantee of future results.
Use it to check fit, then check the evidence separately, as how to evaluate a paid trading indicator outlines. The paper validates calibration, not the profitability of any use.
