No: closed bars on the Behavioral Transform Model do not change after the bar closes. The live bar's marker can update while the bar is still forming, as any indicator based on the current bar's price does, and settings changes recompute the whole chart.
Repainting is a historical value changing after the bar has closed. An indicator that moves only while the current bar is open is behaving like the live price, not rewriting history.
Reload the chart, or note the band on a closed bar, wait for the next close and compare. Closed-bar values should be identical. The same test works on any indicator; see how to compare band indicators.
It does not mean the indicator predicts anything. The range describes how far the next close has historically landed from the current level, with ~71% inside the inner band and ~94% inside the outer, historically. The paper validates calibration, not the profitability of any use.
Why does the band move during a live bar?
The current bar's price is still forming, so values that depend on it update until close.
Do non-repainting indicators have a cost?
They rely on closed data, which is why the Behavioral Transform Model is built on closing prices; see why closing prices matter.
Where can the indicator be installed?
See how to install the Behavioral Transform Model.
